I chose these three masks for inspiration because of their beautiful design. I like the idea of creating a full face mask with obstructions from view and structural elements

I have created something I like to call a, 'Comfort Mask.' The idea was to create a shield from the outside world, protecting the wearer with items of comfort, which for me right now, have been my old Sherlock Holmes books, my old button collection, and of course, the face masks themselves. As someone who has been directly effected by covid, I've needed to turn to my old comforts because they're what I can access right now. I definitely focused on shape and texture during this project of escapism, and protection.
