An Acquiring Mind

1. The Metropolitan moved to represent all world cultures, not just European art. This was an influential change! So much goes into Art selection, display, and conservation. 
2. I don’t think the Met’s collection relates to mine, but their choices to display prices and celebrate them in natural light is relative to my collection!
3. It was interesting to see how broad a collection can be! I loved seeing how the Met- and I’m sure other museums -selects, saves, keeps and displays their art. I’d never seen an art board meeting, a “dry run,” or stained glass conservation. It’s given me the idea of using stained glass as a medium. 

MoMA Q&A

1. First we had a walk through the Picasso exhibit, followed by the Q&A.
2. In relation to my own collection, some of my pieces are made by artists who were aware of each other, or at least worked in the same time. But it is not a collection by one artist only.
3. I liked this video because I loved hearing other curious art minds ask professionals real questions. It was interesting to see the MoMA’s take.
